“Trust is everything”

Our Story: From One Truck to Industry Leaders

Our journey began in the late 1980s in Southern California, driven by a simple, yet powerful idea: to save old electronics from landfills while treating every person and every piece of equipment with respect. Chuck Hulse started the business with just one truck, a “trust is everything” belief, and a commitment to doing the right thing, every single time. Soon Juan joined his team and helped find value in items others had discarded, including “dumpster dives.” They were pioneers discovering the early potential of e-waste recycling. This foundation of honesty, transparency, and the promise to always show up on time established the work ethic that still defines us today.

A Legacy of Expertise

As the company grew, its influence did too. Debbie joined the team, bringing her expertise to help formalize and expand the business’s reach. In fact, our founders’ deep knowledge was recognized by the state of California, leading them to be among the first approved for the state’s initial e-waste program in the Y2K era. Debbie and Chuck were deeply involved in that project, providing input on legislative policy and reporting standards, which helped pave the way for key e-waste legislation in California. This early involvement solidified our legacy as trusted advisors in the industry.

With the addition of Dan and his ability to establish rapport on the ground, we built strong relationships with similar recycling yards and precious metal dealers, creating a vast network that allows us to be a one-stop shop for our clients.

Whether you need asset recovery, secure data destruction with certificates and photos, or complex tear-down projects, we use this expertise to coordinate all logistics—making the process easy and stress-free for you. Our core focus is always on recycle, reuse, resell, and repurpose, ensuring both environmental responsibility and maximum value recovery.

The Next Chapter: Continuing Our Commitment

Today, as Chuck moves into retirement, our original mission is carried forward by a new generation of leadership. Debbie and Dan remain central to the business, managing day-to-day operations and mentoring their successors, including Dave and Tim, to ensure the legacy of excellence continues. While the business is undergoing a refresh—with a new identity, website, and more—our foundational values are unwavering.

We are focused on cultivating our current relationships, expanding our service area (roughly north to Santa Barbara and south to San Diego), and always going the extra mile, even for custom solutions. Our commitment is simple: to be the place that genuinely cares about customers, makes compliance with all regulations effortless, and remains a safe, secure place for e-waste.
